CRSSD Music Festival
CRSSD Music Festival brought out a large variety of music artists ranging from top of the charts, to your up and comers. Located in San Diego at Waterfront Park, this three stage festival pulled out all the stops. With the Main Stage, Ocean View, there were artists such as M0, Cut Copy, Mura Masa, Broods, Phantoms, Breakbot, and more. Heading over to The Palms stage, you could find Hot Since 82, The Magician, Black Madonna, Emancipator, and more. And last but not least, over at City Steps, headliners were Richie Hawtin and Dixon.
Headlining CRSSD this year were RÜFÜS DU SOL and CHROMEO. RÜFÜS DU SOL are an Austrailian Trio making way in the indie electronic dance-pop world. Topping the Austrailian Charts with their full-length album, Atlas, their international exposure has increased exponentially. With their 2016 sophomore full-length album, Bloom, RÜFÜS played all their top singles such as, "You Were Right," "Like an Animal," and "Innerbloom". They are currently working on new music and touring across the US.
Saturday Night Headliners, Chromeo, put on a show-stopping performance. One of the great things about Chromeo is their style and their beliefs. To quote Dave 1 and P-Thugg, "Know thyself, know they vibe, and stay thy course.". These guys have been at it for over ten years, and aren't we glad they never stopped. Chromeo's DNA is made up of 80's funk and electronic dance pop. Some of their top tracks include, "Come Alive," "Hot Mess," and "Lost On The Way Home."
